The Certification Pathway

Certification unfolds through ongoing live practice and structured self-study, allowing dancers to integrate the Baskets dialect with depth and clarity over time.

Rather than a single intensive, this pathway emphasizes sustained engagement, embodied understanding, and thoughtful development of teaching.

Step One- Ongoing Live Practice

Monthly Basket Play Date
(optional)

In-person training occurs through the opportunity to practice with me during the monthly Basket Play Date.

These sessions provide:

• Direct experience within the dialect
• Real-time group improvisation practice
• Clarification of structure and cueing
• Space for questions and refinement

This ongoing format supports gradual integration rather than rapid completion.

Cost: $10-$15 USD

Step Two- Structured Self-Study

Online and Self-Paced

Between live sessions, dancers engage in guided self-study designed to deepen understanding and refine precision.

Self-study may include:

• Movement checklists
• Structural diagrams and graphics
• Fast and Slow Baskets study materials
• Video review and reflection
• Practice drills

All materials are designed to support clarity, integration, and eventual teaching readiness.

Cost: $150 USD

Step Three- Teaching Readiness & Mentorship

Video Submission and Feedback

As dancers demonstrate fluency and structural understanding, the focus shifts toward teaching clarity.

This stage may include:

• Demonstration of clean cueing
• Structural precision in improvisation
• Reflection on leadership approach
• Submission of teaching or movement videos (as applicable)

Certification emphasizes readiness and integrity rather than speed.

Cost: $50 USD
